All core data — dose logs, body weight entries, nutrition metrics, injection site history, reminders, and photos — is stored locally in an encrypted database directly on your iPhone. Pepglow is offline-first by design: the app works entirely without an internet connection, and your logs are never synced to any Pepglow server or third-party cloud. The only optional exception is Apple Health: if you choose to enable it, Pepglow will read and write specific metrics (weight, water, calories) to Apple Health on your device — which is governed by Apple's own privacy framework.
Pepglow uses standard pharmacokinetic half-life models to estimate how much of a compound may remain active in your system over time. When you log a dose, the app records the compound, amount, and timestamp, then applies a published or commonly referenced biological half-life value for that compound to project a decay curve. These estimates are approximate and for personal awareness only — individual metabolism varies significantly. When you log a dose, you can also record which injection site you used on an interactive body map. Pepglow then color-codes each site based on elapsed time since it was last used: green (safe to use again), yellow (still recovering), and red (too soon — rest recommended). Pep Bot is an in-app AI assistant that helps you understand general information about the peptides and compounds you track. Before first use, the app requires your explicit opt-in consent. When you send a message, only that message text and minimal protocol context (e.g., compound name and last-dose timestamp) pass through a secure, privacy-preserving Cloudflare Worker proxy — never your name, contact details, location, or health identifiers. Pep Bot responses are educational and general in nature; they are never personalized medical advice.
Yes. Premium users can generate a clean, formatted PDF report of their dose history, body metrics, and progress data. This report is generated entirely on-device and exported directly from the app — it is never uploaded to a server. You can share it via AirDrop, email, or save it to Files. Many users find this useful for bringing organized notes to a clinician visit without exposing their full phone.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, deleting the app also removes your logs permanently — there is no cloud backup to restore from. We recommend using the export feature to save a PDF report before uninstalling if you want to preserve your history. If you use iCloud Backup, iOS may include the app's local database in your device backup, which could restore data when you reinstall — this is governed by iOS settings, not Pepglow.
Pepglow requires iOS 17 or later and is optimized for iPhone. The app is built natively in SwiftUI, so it takes full advantage of the latest Apple hardware features including Dynamic Island, Live Activities context, and StandBy mode on iPhone 14 Pro and newer. iPad support is not currently available but is on our roadmap. The app is available in the United States App Store.
